The geomembrane insulation of one of the four aerobic pools of the Karaj wastewater treatment plant with an area of ​​45,000 square meters was damaged.

Payam Tawafi, Director of the Alborz Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Development Office, announced the news: During technical inspections of the Karaj Wastewater Treatment Plant, damaged items were identified with geomembrane insulation and the damaged areas were repaired to prevent contamination from penetrating deep into the ground. .

He added: to repair these damaged areas, first the volume of sewage with a capacity of 140,000 cubic meters was emptied into the adjacent pools and its debris and sediment were cleaned.

He pointed out that by draining the deposited sludge and repairing the damaged insulation, the wastewater treatment process is currently being carried out optimally and with maximum capacity.
