Hamidreza Namdari, the managing director of Alborz Water & Wastewater Company, maintained that about 63% of the citizens of Karaj city enjoy sanitary wastewater disposal services with 110,000 installed sewers.

He further added, “The urban areas of Karaj city, such as the central Karaj area, Rajaeishahr, Mehrshahr, Mahdasht Mehr Township and part of Asara villages, have 110,000 active sewers, of which about 8,000 have been installed and put into operation in the last year.”
